JJ's Party House was established in the fall of 1982. Rene and Lala Karam were looking to start something different and new in south Texas. Rene was part owner of a family beer business (Pearl Beer Distributor) while Lala was in retail and grocery. After selling their beer distributorship, they were left with an empty warehouse. Rene and Lala slowly started sourcing merchandise that were associated with everyday parties and bar-b-ques. 

JJ's Party House was the only party store in south Texas at the time and it's future was evolving every day. As time went on, the focus turned to juvenile kids birthday party supplies, to theme parties such as Mardi Gras and other adult theme supplies. Balloons were always a focal point to any purchase and quickly grew to the driving reason customers shopped our store. Eventually Rene and Lala added costumes for the Halloween season which ended up growing to a year-round costume store as well. 

As the way people celebrated changed, so did we. Today we have a full time design center dedicated to creating unique and personalized products for today's party goers. Our large list of traditional party supplies is now complemented with custom printed cups, napkins, balloons, t-shirts, can coolers, plus embroidery for shirts, aprons, caps, and tote bags. We also have in-house engraving capabilities for custom designed tumblers, signs, and etched glassware.
